Users of the new Lahore Metrobus are seen traveling in different parts of the city. The 27 kilometer line that crosses Lahore from north to south is the first venture on mass transit ever built in the country and is estimated to serve 130,000 users every day. Nawaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and future Prime Minister of the country have largely based his political campain in the credit taken for this and many other important infraestructures his brother, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, have developed in the province during the last years.
