One of the many coaches that forms the vast network of the newly constructed Lahore Metrobus passes over an overcrowded junction in the north of the city. The 27 kilometer line that crosses Lahore from north to south is the first venture on mass transit ever built in the country and is estimated to serve 130,000 users every day. Nawaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and future Prime Minister of the country have largely based his political campain in the credit taken for this and many other important infraestructures developed in the country during the last years.
